This policy explains what we collect on this pre-launch page and why. Short version: we collect your email and pre-order details only to notify you about the launch and send your coupon. Nothing else.
1. Who we are
- This page is operated by MAEKIRR ("we", "us"). It is a pre-launch page for the MAEKIRR automatic knife sharpener. You can reach us at support@maekirr.dev.
2. What we collect
- Email address — when you click "Get Priority Access" and submit the form.
- First name and your answers about the knives you use, your current sharpening method and its drawbacks — when you complete the optional coupon step.
- Basic technical data (browser type, pages visited) may be collected automatically to keep the site secure and improve it.
- We do not collect payment card details. No payment is taken on this page.
3. How we use your data
- To send you a launch-day notification before public availability.
- To send you a pre-order coupon and associate it with your email address.
- To measure interest in the product in aggregate, anonymised form.
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
- We process your data based on your consent, which you give by submitting the forms. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@maekirr.dev and we will delete your data within 30 days.
5. How long we keep it
- We keep your details until the product launches and the pre-order campaign ends, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. After that, data is deleted or fully anonymised.
6. Cookies and advertising measurement
- This site uses strictly necessary technical storage (for example, to keep the admin session secure).
- We also use the Google tag (Google Ads) to measure how our advertising performs — for example, to count how many visitors who came from an ad completed the pre-order coupon form. See how Google handles this data: https://business.safety.google/privacy/.
- Visitors in the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Quebec see a consent banner and can accept or reject this measurement; without consent, only limited, cookieless measurement is sent where permitted. Elsewhere, measurement is enabled by default and you can opt out by emailing support@maekirr.dev.
7. Data security
- Your data is stored on servers provided by our hosting infrastructure, protected by encryption in transit and access controls. Only authorised operators can view the subscriber list.
8. Your rights
- You have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@maekirr.dev. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Changes
- If we change this policy, we will update the date below. If the changes are significant, we will notify subscribers by email.
